Sail Training Ireland - Recruiting Trainees on Behalf of Dublin Tall Ships Event 2012

The organisers of The Tall Ships Races 2012 - Dublin festival are going to great lengths to make sure as many Irish young people take part in the Tall Ships Races as possible.
To this end, in October 2011, they contracted Sail Training Ireland to recruit trainees and administer funding on their behalf. The first batch of funding was administered through youth-based organisations in the city and resulted in 25 trainees from across the city, securing places on Race 3 from A Coruna to Dublin. There is a second batch of part funded bursaries being made available now for people that are willing fund or fundraise their rest of the voyage fees. These are available across the country for 18-25 year olds.

There are also many opporuntities for all age groups to fund their own voyage and to this you simply contact your chosen vessel directly and book your passage. Berth vary in cost from €700 to €1500.
