
Sail Training Ireland are this year promoting The Irish Sea Fleet-Maritime Festival Tour. The Tour lasts from the 28th of April to the 20th of June, and visits Drogheda, Liverpool, Dublin, Cobh, Belfast, Warrenpoint and Warrenview. (Check out the events calender for detailed sailings). This is bound to be a memorable summer for those on board, as alot of the voyages coincide with festivals in the ports that are visited. There will also be a Gathering project- Sail Home to your Roots.This will see Irish descendents sail from Liverpool to Dublin on the 13th-19th of May. They will arrive in Dublin to a huge welcome from the Dublin Docklands Summer Festival. There is six tall ships taking part, and with nearly 600 berths between them it's going to be a busy summer!

The Irish Odyssey Tour takes place later in the summer, and sees the Alba Venturer visiting four ports in both Ireland and the U.K. This 72ft ketch can reach speeds of 12 knots and carry 12 participants.See events calender for prices on these voyages.

Sail Training International events 2013
There are a number of Sail Training International endorsed events each year and these are very exciting events to take part in a sea going voyage.
The Annual Tall ships Races take place in a different region each year and generally involve 4 or 5 main ports, three races and a "Cruise in company". As well as this race series there are a number of major events taking place over the coming years. Please find the Race Calender for the next 3 years here. Of particular note is that in 2015, the Tall Ships Races are coming to Belfast.
