Sail Training Ireland - Youth (S.T.IRL.-Y.)
Sail Training Ireland - Youth is the representative committee for all Category Three members of Sail Training Ireland in the Youth bracket of under 30 years.

As the national body for Sail Training in Ireland, much of the work that STIRL undertake is to ensure the opportunities that the Sail Training adventure provides are widely recognised. Although the experience is open to anyone of any age or background, the target audience is predominantly youths.

STIRL works closely with youth organisations such as Leargas and the Jubilee Sailing Trust to provide life changing experiences for youths from all sorts of backgrounds at affordable prices. There are many bursaries and grants available to assist funding of the Tall Ship adventures - details of which are provided in our Get Onboard section.

Any Category Three (Individual) member that joins at or under the age of 30 will automatically receive correspondence from S.T.IRL.-Y

This committee was endorsed at the 2012 AGM of S.T.IRL. The Youth Forum is currently under development with the hope it will be launched in the new year.
